Bernadette Deka Zulu is a respected public policy and governance leader with over 15 years of experience working at the highest levels of national, regional, and international development. She is standing for Member of Parliament for Chinkuli Constituency, a community where she grew up, went to school, and has served throughout her life.
Her decision to contest is rooted in deep personal ties to Chinkuli and a lifelong commitment to community service, equity, and inclusive development.
Bernadette is driven and grounded by her Christian faith and values, rooting her personal mission in her belief in God.

Family
Bernadette was born in 1986 and grew up with her family who encouraged her, from young age, to pursue her interests in leadership and service. She and her husband Lyson Zulu have four children and several nieces in their blended family. They remain close to their extended families and communities.
